What is Diagnodent technology?
Diagnodent technology utilizes a laser to measure the absorbtion of light through the enamel of the occlusal surface of the tooth. When decay is present the laser measures the difference of the density in the tooth allowing us to measure the size of the decay. The diagnodent allows us to practice conservative dentistry and preservation of more tooth structure.
