Cosmetic Dentistry Zoom Teeth Whitening System

San Diego Teeth Whitening from Fremont Dental Arts

As seen on ABC hit series "Extreme Make Over," the Zoom teeth whitening system is a bleaching process that lightens Teeth Whitening, San Diego, CAdiscolored enamel. It takes about 1 1/2 hours in our practice to complete the teeth whitening procedure, whichincludes the high powered whitening lamp along with light activated whitening gels (hydrogen peroxide) and
impressions for custom made trays for future bleaching touch ups.

Teeth Whitening That Works!
The Zoom teeth whitening system eliminates stains caused by aging and consumption of substances such as coffee, tea, colas, tobacco, red wine, etc. Other stains from antibiotics, fevers and malformation have varied results. Excessive fluoride like some well-water can cause brown and white spots which can be removed with a preliminary procedure called micro etching followed by teeth whitening. Tray Alone Teeth Whitening
Our “tray alone” teeth whitening system from Opalescence® would work for light sensitive people or melanoma patients. These systems also work well to lighten a few teeth next to existing porcelain crowns. Safe, effective and convenient – The Opalescence® Tooth Whitening System has been proven safe in many clinical studies over the past ten years. Opalescence 10% also holds the American Dental Association's Seal of Approval.

How long does teeth whitening take? Results are often seen after one night. Optimum natural whiteness usually occurs when the process is continued for a week to 10 days.
How does whitening work? Impressions of your teeth are made from which custom trays are made for the bleaching procedure. A gel is placed in these trays and fitted over your teeth. As you whiten your teeth, carbamide peroxide is broken down and oxygen enters the enamel and dentin. This bleaches out the discolored areas. The structure of the tooth is not changed. The color of the tooth is simply made lighter.

How long will my teeth stay white?

Whiter Teeth - Longer. The duration of teeth whitening results depends largely upon you. The results may be permanent. Practice good oral hygiene and brush normally, especially after consuming staining foods or beverages and your results could last for years. If you use staining substances like coffee, tobacco and red wine you may want periodic teeth whitening touch ups for one of two days every couple of years.
